Center for Rural Extension (CRE) was established at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Banja Luka within TEMPUS project Western Balkan Rural Extension Network through Curiculum Reform – WBREN.
The center was established on May, 12th, 2011.
Members of Centre for Rural Extension are:
- Faculty of Agriculture, University of Banja Luka;
- Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences, University of Sarajevo;
- NGO ACED (Agency for Cooperation, Education and Development), Banja Luka; and
- NGO REDAH (Regional Development Agency for Herzegovina), Mostar.
Aim of CRE is providing services of life long learning for students and adults, experts and beginners, representatives of public, private and civil society in field of rural development.
Director of Centre for Rural Extension is PhD Gordana Rokvić.
The center is equipped with IT equipment which is used for implementation and following of master studies, also it serves to students and other visitors for individual studying and data base research through internet.
For CRE has been bought around hundred books of domestic and foreign authors and CRE has been subscribed to five specialized journals from field of agricultural economics, rural development, regional development, rural sociology, rural ecology, entrepreneurship, project management etc.
CRE organize one year licensed master studies Rural development II (60 ECTS) which is licensed at Faculty of Agriculture, University of Banja Luka.
